Dijkstra: Redefining Perspective with Mike
You know, if you're looking for someone who really knows these Amsterdam waters inside out, Mike's your guy. Been fly fishing for what, 30-something years now? I mean, the man's practically got gills at this point. He's done all these proper guide certifications and instructor courses - VNV fly casting certified, even works with St. Croix as pro staff, which tells you something about his skills.
What's really cool though is how he handles both fresh and saltwater around here. Most guys specialize in one or the other, but Mike? He'll take you after pike in the canals one day and then chase sea trout out near the coast the next. Actually saw him land a massive zander last spring that still makes me jealous thinking about it.
And hey, if you prefer fishing from a boat, no problem - he's got that covered too. Kinda funny when you think about it - Dutch waters aren't exactly known for being massive, but Mike somehow always finds the fish. Must be all those years learning every little current and drop-off around these parts.
Bottom line - whether it's your first time holding a fly rod or you're looking to up your game, you couldn't ask for better hands to be in. The guy just... gets it, you know? Like how some people just have that natural feel for where the fish'll be biting.
