How to tie the No-slip Loop Knot
Also known as the Non-Slip Mono Loop. This is an effective knot that creates a strong, non-slip loop that allows the fly to move naturally in the water, hence it being used mostly for tying streamers to your line.
Step 1
Create a simple knot
First create a simple knot of which you keep the loop open, then put the tag end through the eye of the fly.
Step 2
Back through the simple knot
Put the line back through the simple knot when it leaves the eye of the fly. Then wrap the line around itself four to six times. Make sure the wraps are all behind the simple knot.
Step 3
Put the line back through the simple knot
Now put the tag end back through the simple knot.
Step 4
Pull tight
Pull on the tag end to tighten the knot. You can hold the knot between two fingers to determine how big the resulting loop will become.
