Step 1

Put the line around the reel and form a loop

Put the line around the reel, then form a crossing loop as shown.

Step 2

Wrap around the loop six times

Take the tag end and wrap it around the loop six times.

Step 3

Pull the tag end to tighten the wraps

Pull on the tag end to tighten the wraps that you just created.

Step 4

Pull on the standing line

Next, pull on the standing line until the knot is snug against your reel.

Step 5

Trim of any excess line

Trim the tag end of the knot.
